SQUID AND BOK CHOY CHOW MIEN
Ingredients:
- 500 g peeled squid, cress cut into pieces
- 500 g bok choy (blanched)
- 500 g soft noodles (for crispy chow mien noodles)
- 1 tbsp. oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. chicken powder
- 2 tbsp. corn starch (slurry)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- Cooking oil for deep-frying
- 1 pc onion
- 10 g chopped garlic
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 2 cups water
Procedure:
- 1. Sauté onion, garlic. Add bok choy, soy sauce oyster sauce, chicken powder, squid, and water. Thicken mixture with slurry corn starch, and set aside.
- 2. Deep-fry soft noodles until crispy. Place on plate, pour sautéed bok choy and squid on top, and serve hot.
