SQUID AND BOK CHOY CHOW MIEN


Ingredients:

  • 500 g peeled squid, cress cut into pieces
  • 500 g bok choy (blanched)
  • 500 g soft noodles (for crispy chow mien noodles)
  • 1 tbsp. oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. chicken powder
  • 2 tbsp. corn starch (slurry)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • Cooking oil for deep-frying
  • 1 pc onion
  • 10 g chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • 2 cups water

Procedure:

  • 1. Sauté onion, garlic. Add bok choy, soy sauce oyster sauce, chicken powder, squid, and water. Thicken mixture with slurry corn starch, and set aside.
  • 2. Deep-fry soft noodles until crispy. Place on plate, pour sautéed bok choy and squid on top, and serve hot.
